Join Brian Hoey and Brooke Ehlers for another great Summer Leadership Symposium Webinar! This event is free for both members and non-members.
In 2015 MAFS started the Leadership Symposium series. Since then, we have put on many workshops and symposia to include specific topics such as communication, motivation, and gender in the workplace. It has been six years since that original symposium and many of us have been leaders since, and for some time, but many have moved on opening opportunities for new, up and coming, leaders. This spring we decided to go back to the beginning and offer an introductory leadership workshop for new and up and coming leaders. If you are a new leader, leadership is a gift. Leadership is the process of influencing human behavior to achieve organizational goals, while developing individuals, teams, and the organization for future success. Our labs are full of 21st century technology, but our labs are not made of technology, they are made of people. You run technology, but you lead people. The cases won’t get done, the success won’t happen, and the technology will not be useful unless you have well led people. If you are a new leader, are you ready? Are you ready to influence human behavior and develop individuals? If so, this year’s spring workshop will cover the basic tools of organizational behavior and foundational leadership concepts. We will give you the basic knowledge to set you on a path to leadership. Experienced leaders should also occasionally revisit these topics and consider them from a different perspective. Are you ready?
