&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Lato" style="font-size: 12px;"&gt;About the Department/School/Area&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Lato" style="font-size: 12px;"&gt;http:// www.depts.ttu.edu/entx/ ) offers a Master of Science degree in the following tracks:&lt;br&gt;
Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Investigation, and Environmental Toxicology, as well as a&lt;br&gt;
doctoral degree in Environmental Toxicology. The department will launch a new Bachelor of&lt;br&gt;
Science in Forensic Science in fall 2026. This department currently has 19 full-time&lt;br&gt;
tenured, tenure-track and professor of practice faculty and approximately 60 graduate&lt;br&gt;
students. In recent years, faculty from this department have been awarded over 5 million&lt;br&gt;
dollars in externally sponsored research, of which more than 70% were from federal&lt;br&gt;
sources. The department occupies several buildings to support research and teaching,&lt;br&gt;
affording significant laboratory and classroom space. Departmental research programs&lt;br&gt;
include campus, community, and national/international collaborations.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Lato" style="font-size: 12px;"&gt;Major/Essential Functions&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Lato" style="font-size: 12px;"&gt;At Texas Tech University, the Professor of Practice title is used to recruit individuals with&lt;br&gt;
exceptional backgrounds and achievements in academic, business, government, or other&lt;br&gt;
professional practice. Primary responsibilities normally will be to teach in an area of&lt;br&gt;
expertise, mentor students in professional and career preparation, and liaise with&lt;br&gt;
professional contacts and entities on behalf of the department or program.&lt;br&gt;
In line with TTU’s strategic priorities to engage and empower a multi-faceted student body,&lt;br&gt;
enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities&lt;br&gt;
through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working&lt;br&gt;
with various student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within&lt;br&gt;
individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.&lt;br&gt;
As a faculty member in the Department of Environmental Toxicology, you will be expected&lt;br&gt;
to: 1) contribute to the teaching mission of the department; 2) mentor graduate students;&lt;br&gt;
3) retain industry currency to better inform classroom instruction and mentoring; 4) provide&lt;br&gt;
service to the department, college, and university.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Lato" style="font-size: 12px;"&gt;Faculty Qualifications&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Lato" style="font-size: 12px;"&gt;1. Applicants must have at least an M.S. in Forensic Science, Criminalistics, or a&lt;br&gt;
related physical/natural science.&lt;br&gt;
2. Previous forensic practitioner experience (private or government).&lt;br&gt;
3. Previous teaching experience, including demonstrated pedagogy in the form of&lt;br&gt;
professional training activities.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Lato" style="font-size: 12px;"&gt;Preferred Qualifications&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Lato" style="font-size: 12px;"&gt;In addition to the required qualifications, individuals with the following preferred&lt;br&gt;
qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:&lt;br&gt;
