Details:Applications are accepted year-round.  Interested candidates should email a CV or resume, along with a cover letter detailing their areas of interest, what they are hoping to achieve during the internship (e.g. lab experience, completion of research project, etc.), and whether the internship is being taken for university credit.  Length of internship is flexible: 3 months minimum, 6-12 months preferred.  Interns are expected to be available at least 10 hours per week, including Friday afternoons. Minimum requirements: At least two years of college with a concentration in a natural science, e.g., chemistry, biology or materials science. Expectations and responsibilities: General lab duties, including setting up lab classrooms, preparing reagents, and washing laboratory glassware.  Duties may also include assisting in McCrone research projects.  Interns may also conduct their own research (subject to approval) using McCrone microscopes and facilities, and under the guidance of McCrone staff.  Participation and assistance in McCrone’s annual microscopy conference, Inter/Micro, is required during summer internships.
